The Nissan LEAF is innovative in many aspects. Here are a few of the most important (and most fun) features of the various LEAF models:

• 100% electric - absolutely no tanks in the car at all. You will never have to stop for petrol again!

• Goes for longer on a full charge than anything you've seen before-up to 180km depending on the battery and driver's behaviour.

• The Nissan LEAF can charge its lithium-ion battery from 0% to 80% in approximately 20 minutes using a rapid charger; 7-8 hours using an approved Megapower Home Charging unit, or 3-4 hours using a 32A unit.

• Aerodynamic build and regenerative braking system means you get more for your charge.

• A quiet drive; no more whirring, annoying engine noises - just you, and your journey.

• No lag. No revving. With no engine, the transmission is instant; you put your foot on the accelerator, and it goes. 

• Inbuilt computer with (upcoming) GPS, energy and usage information, climate control, music and car phone connecting straight to your smartphone.

• Intelligent key technology means you don't even have to take the key out of your pocket or bag; simply tap against the car and it will open.

• Surround view cameras make backing into spaces easy; in the screen in front of you there is a live feed of where you are headed so that anything unexpected doesn't catch you unaware.

• If you are a music lover, the energy saving BOSE speakers will ensure the best quality you can get.

• Your car is waterproof! No worries about the rain; The Nissan LEAF has been tested in waters 300mm deep. As with any regular car and any serious flood, we’d recommend not driving through but it is good to know the LEAF battery pack is caged in its own internal frame as well as an outer frame.

Fully customisable inside and out, the pure electric BMWi3 delivers premium quality and surprising pace.
